A VERY RARE .500 FLINTLOCK SEVEN-BARRELLED VOLLEY-GUN, MODEL 'NOCK'S PATENT', no visible serial number,
Government contract circa 1800, with 20in. barrel-group (some pitting, refinished) comprised of six barrels around a central seventh barrel and drilled for simultaneous fire, Tower proofs at breech, small boat-shaped fore-sight, plain top-tang with sighting groove, truncated lock signed 'TOWER' and marked with a recumbent crown over 'GR' at tail, 'L' shaped frizzen spring, plain hammer, walnut handrail butt-stock with brass oval escutcheon at wrist, brass furniture, the heel-plate marked with an Irish registration number 'L-K 627' (Co. Limerick), flat top to comb (hairline age related crack), moulded, shaped and raised sideplate, brass under-barrel ramrod thimbles, the front example with ramrod tensioning spring (corroded) and working replacement iron ramrod
