Russian and dated for 1901, with 12 1/2in. double-edged spear-point blade (some pitting near tip), single asymmetric narrow fuller to each side, deeply struck makers mark near forte, white metal and nielloed hilt of traditional style decorated with twisted wire borders and binding, twin carved and nielloed dome-headed rivets (reverse of lower absent), complete with its white metal scabbard embossed with panels of floral decoration enhanced with nielloed detail and traces of gilding, dated cyrillic inscription at throat together with an engraved wreathed crown, ball tip to drag and off-centre suspension mount near throat
