32in. nitro reproved damascus barrel (in 2017)engraved 'SPENCER RPTG. SHOT GUN PAT. APL. 1882', bead fore-sight, 2 1/2in. chamber, bored approx. extra full choke, Spencer & Roper patent action, US Patent no. 255,894 / UK patent no. 1636 of 1882 with pivoted breech block, tubular magazine, with exterior sliding handle which operates loading and ejecting cartridges and cocks the hammer, the triggerguard housing a secondary reversed trigger which also cocks the hammer, action engraved 'F. BANNERMAN MANUFACTURER, NEW YORK, U.S.A. MODEL 1896' on the left side and 'ALEX WALLACE. FROM HIS FRIEND THE MAKER.' in an elaborate cartouche on the right, 13 1/2in. semi-pistolgrip stock with steel buttplate, weight 7lb. 7oz.
