for 1918, with 5in. barrel, blued slide with the makers address and patents to 1913 on the left and 'COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBRE .455' on the right, blued frame with British inspector's marks and stamped 'RAF', grip safe and smooth mainspring housing to back-strap, chequered walnut grips with smooth diamond-shaped panels around the screws, lanyard ring at heel and loop (loose) to the base of the correct magazine marked 'CAL .455 ELEY', much parkerised finish, complete with a period open topped leather revolver service holster
