dated for 1886, with 32 1/2in. sighted barrel, slab-sided receiver with makers stamp and date on the left hand side and the Portuguese crest on the right, polished bolt with mismatched serial number (X765), straight handle, walnut butt-stock and three-quarter length fore-end, concealed magazine and clearing rod mounted to left side of barrel
