A 54-BORE PERCUSSION SIX-SHOT BAR-HAMMER TRANSITIONAL REVOLVER WITH SPRUNG BAYONET, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number,
circa 1845, with octagonal 5 1/2in. barrel held to the cylinder arbor via one screw, triangular cross-section sprung bayonet mounted to the right side of barrel, plain cylinder with guarded nipples, border and scroll engraved rounded boxlock action with central bar hammer, finely chequered walnut grips with flat iron pommel-cap and guarded trigger
