A RARE 54-BORE SINGLE-ACTION PERCUSSION REVOLVER, MODEL 'J.N. DEPREZ PATENT', serial no 32,
circa 1855, with octagonal 6 1/4in. barrel (burst in antiquity and expertly repaired), the left hand flat signed 'MARIETTE BREVETE' (rubbed), the left under-flat marked 'J.N. DEPREZ', moulded barrel mount released by swinging the trigger-guard, engraved open iron frame with boxlock central hammer action, plain cylinder, smooth walnut one-piece grip with replaced heel-plate and loading lever mounted to right side of barrel (possible replacement)
