circa 1840, with heavy triple-staged 40in. twist-iron barrel banded at the intersection, the top-flat signed in script 'C. MOORE 77 ST JAMES'S STREET, LONDON', engraved top-tang, isolated borderline, scroll and gamebird engraved bar-action hump-backed lock with dipped tail, substantial walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist (hairline crack at side-nail), iron furniture and original brass-tipped under-barrel ramrod
