circa 1805, with octagonal 5in. barrel, private proofs at breech engraved top-tang, slightly curved bevel edged flat lock with borderline engraving and stepped tail, signed below the rainproof pan 'WOOD', walnut fore-end with coarsely chequered bag-shaped butt (fore-end with extensive inlet working repair, iron trigger guard bow with pineapple finial, single barrel key and replacement wood ramrod
