circa 1800, with fine damascus octagonal 25in. swamped barrel, bead fore-sight, standing aperture rear-sight, arabesques engraved to top of breech, small miquelet lock with traces of gilt decoration and gullwing hammer-jaw screw, walnut saw-handled straight hand full-stock with ivory and metal pin decoration to top of wrist, broad band of ivory and metal pin decoration around butt, deep horn butt-end with contrasting plate, stud trigger, the underside inlaid with three carved ivory fish, four remaining white metal engraved and shaped barrel-bands (one absent) and iron under-barrel ramrod
