Provenance: This and the following Lots comprise of two 24 carat gold embellished apprentice pieces executed by the Browning Master Engraver, Jean-Marie Debrus.
Born on the 25th August 1938, Jean-Marie Debrus studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Liege before serving a gun engraving apprenticeship at Fabrique Nationale in Herstal. He stayed with FN Browning as one of their Luxury Arms Master engravers until his retirement in 1999 (although he still undertakes commissions on a freelance basis).
