for 1939, with 19 1/4in. barrel (45in. overall), dove-tailed fore-sight, elevating rear-sight, rotating loading-tap with lever, plain air chamber, three hole trigger-unit, saw-handled walnut butt-stock chequered at the grip and with 'BSA', ribbed end to butt, folded trigger-guard, the under-lever with 'push-button' style release, traces of finish only
