for 1853, with re-nickelled 7 1/2in. octagonal barrel signed 'ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW YORK CITY', re-nickelled chamber scrubbed of scene, re-nickelled frame and grip-straps, smooth walnut one-piece grips and plated under-barrel loading lever

Other Notes: Research has shown that this revolver was the property of a 'Felway' (rank unknown) of the 1st MA Volunteer Cavalry. Carried at Gettysburg as part of the 1st Brigade under Colonel J.B. McIntosh, 2nd Division Cavalry, in turn commanded by Brigadier General D.M. Gregg
