for 1863, and surmounted by a letter 'L' stamp for sale through the London office, with blued 4 1/2in. barrel, the top signed 'ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA', blued stepped and fluted cylinder, open colour-hardened frame, colour hardened hammer, brass grip-straps and trigger-guard bow with traces of silver-plate, smooth walnut grips, the whole in fine order with much finish except where noted
