of museum quality constructed from an original antique Colt 1849 Pocket Model dating to 1860, with blued octagonal 3in. barrel signed in script within a border of scrolls 'SAML COLT', the sides of breech engraved with American scrolls extending approximately halfway along the barrel, engraved band to muzzle, bead fore-sight, plain five-shot cylinder with roll engraving of a stagecoach hold-up, fully borderline and American scroll engraved colour-hardened open frame signed 'COLT'S PATENT within a border, engraved hammer, silver plated and engraved grip-straps and trigger-guard, engraved borders around the serial numbers and no provision for loading lever, the whole expertly rendered and re-coloured
