circa 1860, with blued 31 1/2in. barrels, flat sighting-rib signed in gold 'WEBER RUESCHE IN ZURICH', twin gold bands both at muzzle and breech, dove-tailed silver fore-sight, elevating rear-sight, scroll engraved breech-blocks with engraved plugs, long scroll and vine engraved top-tang, irregular edged stepped scroll and vine engraved back-action locks inhabited by green-men and mythical beasts, the central parts engraved with deer in naturalistic settings, swinging safes forwards of the engraved hammers, iron en-suite patch-box to the right hand side of the figured walnut half-stock, finely chequered wrist, carved raised cheek-piece, engraved iron Swiss heel-plate, moulded horn trigger-guard cover, complex scrolled iron trigger-guard, twin set-triggers, engraved fore-end cap and white-metal mounted ebony ramrod
