circa 1855, with etched variegated octagonal damascus 33 3/4in. heavy barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, carved dove-tailed rear-sight with interchangeable blades, engraved muzzle around the bore, scroll engraved breech-block (rubbed), long scroll engraved colour-hardened top-tang with square socket for aperture sight (missing), colour-hardened scroll engraved back-action lock with an irregular border, the lock signed in gold 'S IUNG' within a banner, provision for hammer safety (missing), colour-hardened scroll engraved dolphin headed hammer, walnut full-stock with rococco bordered carved chequered panels to the wrist and fore-end, colour-hardened borderline and scroll engraved irregular-shaped iron patch-box inlaid to the right hand side of butt, the centre of lid inlaid with a gold running deer, solid silver heel-plate with scroll engraved long heel-spur, silver winged side-nail cups, silver scroll-engraved trigger-guard tang with raised scrolled semi pistol-grip, broad scroll engraved silver trigger-guard bow, double set-triggers, silver vase finial, triple white-metal oval take-down escutcheons, silver ramrod thimbles, horn schnabel fore-end tip and horn mounted wood ramrod
