circa 1805, with re-browned octagonal 9in. barrels, the top-flats signed 'LONDON', gold lines at breech, bead fore-sights and standing notch rear-sights, engraved top-tangs, border engraved step-tailed locks signed 'R. & R. SUTHERLAND', sliding safes behind the hammers, rain-proof pans, gold-lined touch-holes, border engraved frizzens with rollers to the springs, walnut half-stocks with chequered bag-shaped butts and gadrooned pommels, blued furniture including spurred trigger-guard bows, set triggers, white metal fore-end caps and horn-tipped mahogany ramrods, traces of original finish except where noted
