A COMPOSED PAIR OF 10-BORE FLINTLOCK FROG-MOUTHED MUSKETOONS, UNSIGNED, MODEL 'M.1781', no visible serial numbers,
circa 1785, each with 25 2/4in. two-stage octagonal to round barrel with elliptical muzzle, iron tang, flat bevelled lock with dog-catch and maker's mark on the tail, walnut full stock, one carved in low relief with an apron around the barrel-tang and tear-drop behind the lock, iron mounts including saddle-bar, and iron ramrod (cleaned overall, some scattered minor pitting, one with small cracks around lock, few minor worm holes to one stock).
