A 14-BORE WHEEL-LOCK COMPOSITE SPORTING RIFLE, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number,
dated '1621' but probably late Georgian or early Victorian, with 35 1/2in. swamped octagonal sighted barrel, plain lock (hammer spring fractured but present), walnut full stock (cracked through and repaired on the fore-end, patchbox-cover a probable replacement), stock with bone inlay and later ramrod.
