AN 1845/54 BRITISH INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD,
circa 1870, with 'Wilkinson' style 32in. single fullered slightly curved blade, the first half etched with scrolls within arabesque borders, inlaid proof mark at forte, the reverse signed 'LANDON, MORELAND & LANDON, NEW BURLINGTON ST, LONDON', 'gothic' three-bar brass hilt with rigid inner guard, the bowl set with a Queen Victoria crown and cypher, wire-bound sharkskin grip and brass back-strap, together with its solid brass scabbard with twin loose suspension rings (some denting)
