27 5/8in. (70cm) nitro chopperlump barrels with raised matt rib, inlaid 'MCMLXXVI', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, manual safety, removable striker discs, cocking-indicators, articulated front trigger, rolled-edge triggerguard, bouquet and scroll engraving, the underside with a cartouche inscribed 'BUILT FOR G.E. SANDGREN BY RENATO GAMBA', surmounted by a gold-highlighted coronet, bright finish overall, the triggerplate signed 'Glaucius', 14in. well-figured stock with sling swivels and engraved steel heel and toe plates, weight 6lb. 11oz.

Provenance: This shotgun was built for the Swedish author G.E. Sandgren. Whilst not particularly well-known in Great Britain, his books enjoy a loyal following in Europe. His most popular work is perhaps "Three Days in the Sun" published by Darmstadt, Dusseldorf in 1960.
