GUN MAKERS BY SPECIAL APPOINTMENT TO HIS MAJESTY KING EDWARD VII', scroll-engraved at the breech end and gold-inlaid '1', wall thicknesses below recommended minimum, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 3/4 choke, scroll-back treble-grip action incorporating A.E. Lard patent single selective trigger, patent no. 3952 of February 2nd 1899, use number 1265 with L.B. Taylor improved patent 11062 of May 29th 1901, J. Deeley and L.B. Taylor patent hand-detachable locks, patent no. 17731 of 28th July 1897, use number 1596, Westley Richards improved patent toplever, patent no. 1572 of 14th June 1871, engraved WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT ONE TRIGGER', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, detachable floorplate, triggerplate with gold-inlaid 'L' and 'R' details, acanthus scroll engraving, the triggerguard with a trotting pointer, brushed bright and reblued finish overall, 14 1/2in. well-figured stock, slight sweep at comb and including 3/4in. leather covered recoil pad, Deeley & Edge patent fore-end release catch, weight 6lb. 6oz.
