APRIL 2. 1889, AUG 1 1893', the side marked 'SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL', dove-tail and blade fore-sight, 'buckhorn' style rear-sight, colour-hardened receiver (traces of colour) marked 'MARLIN SAFETY' on the top-flat, adjustable peep-sight on top-tang, walnut butt-stock with crescent heel-plate, plain forend (one small loss and split), full-length magazine (traces of original finish)
