A CASED 120-BORE PERCUSSION FIVE-SHOT POCKET REVOLVER, UNSIGNED, serial no. 234.200,
circa 1855, loosely of Webley Bentley type, probably Belgian, with 3 1/2in. octagonal sighted barrel, banded at the muzzle, plain cylinder with rope-band engraved to front edge, Birmingham proofs, half top-strap with rear-sight notch, border-lined frame with external spring hammer safety, spur-less hammer, slim chequered walnut grips, border-lined trigger-guard with double-action only trigger, hinged rammer mounted on left hand side of barrel (traces of colour throughout), TOGETHER WITH its original oak transit case, lined in red baize, paper label in lid for 'THOMAS PITT, 43 HIGH ST, BRISTOL' and including a number of accessories including an ebony loading rod, box-wood spare nipple box, small alloy oil bottle and tin of 'Joyce's' caps, the lid with vacant circular brass escutcheon (some compartments loose)
