A CASED PAIR OF 25-BORE SINGLE-SHOT PERCUSSION OFFICERS PISTOLS,
circa 1845, with browned octagonal 8in. sighted barrels (traces of original finish), the top-flat signed 'T. CONWAY, MANCHESTER', platinum lines at breech, scroll engraved colour-hardened tangs, border and scroll engraved colour-hardened bar-action locks signed 'CONWAY', walnut full-stocks with chequered bag-shaped butts, silver rectangular escutcheons to wrists with boars-head crests, blued steel furniture, horn forend tips and captive steel stirrup ramrods, both pistols with much original finish throughout, TOGETHER WITH their original walnut, compartmented case lined in green baize (no label, some compartments loose) and complete with a number of contemporary, possibly original accessories including a lozenge-bodied powder-flask, scissors ball-mould, oil bottle and tin of 'R. WALKERS' double waterproof caps, the lid of the case bearing a brass escutcheon with the same boars-head device found on the pistols and engraved with the name 'C. R. BRADLEY'.
