circa 1860, with 25in. barrel, block and blade front-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, the side of barrel stamped 'FOR WESTLEY RICHARDS CARBINE CARTRIDGE', lift up trapdoor at top-tang marked 'MANUFACTURED BY WESTLEY RICHARDS' together with a triangle trademark, plain lock signed 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO' together with the triangle trademark, walnut plain full-stock with iron furniture (small loss to wood forwards of trigger guard) iron barrel-band and nose cap, original iron clearing rod (some bruising to wood and metalwork, light surface corrosion to exposed iron surfaces, some pitting on barrel)
