circa 1855, with 35in, two-stage barrel, the breech end signed 'JOHN WIGGAN, MAKER TO THE ROYAL FAMILY & THE PACHA OF EGYPT', also engraved 'W BOOTH' together with the serial no, stepped breech-block with platinum lines, scroll engraved top-tang, border and scroll engraved bar-action lock signed 'JOHN WIGGAN', chequered walnut half-stock with silver rectangular escutcheon at the wrist engraved with a 'WB' monogram, iron furniture, scroll-engraved trigger-guard with pistol-gripped tang, pineapple finial with further applied silver finial, round, engraved side-nail escutcheon, horn forend tip and no provision for ramrod (barrel cleaned and laquered, some bruising to stock)
