for 1951, 24 1/2in. nitro barrels with solid raised partially matted top rib, open sights and bead fore-sight, the breech end with matt sight rib with quickly-detachable telescopic sight mount bases, three-piece fore-end with wooden side fillets, hold-open toplever, manual safety, gas checks, articulated front trigger, profuse engraving of bold acanthus scrollwork with floral designs, the triggerguard gold inlaid with a monogram 'JB', the triggerplate signed 'A ROUFFIN', bright finish, 14 3/4in. highly-figured pistolgrip stock, weight 7lb. 15oz.
