A RARE KONGSBERG VAPENFABRIK 6.5x55MM KRAG 'KRAG JØRGENSEN M/94/43 / GEWEHR 211' BOLT-MAGAZINE SERVICE RIFLE, serial no. Nb-090,
dated 1944, 30in. nitro reproved (in 2021) barrel, with tall block-mounted blade fore-sight, adjustable tangent rear sight graduated from 1-2200, receiver ring and barrel marked 'Nb 1944-090', internal rotary box magazine with downward pivoting loading gate and inspection trap, manual flag safety with thumb cutout and marked 'S', manual cocking knob, the receiver ring, barrel, rear sight, and bolt marked with the 'WaA84' Kongsberg Waffenamt stamp, three-quarter length semi-pistolgrip stock, the fore-part with aperture for short cleaning rod, two colour-hardened barrel bands, the first band with sling swivel, leather sling, second barrel band with stacking ring and hook for parade use, bayonet lug, 14in. pull including steel buttplate with central hinged trap complete with pull through, matching numbers, weight 9lb. 5oz.
Other Notes: Produced by the Germans and designated the Gewehr 211. A total of 2350 of these guns were manufactured between 1943 and 1944.
This gun would have been used by German watchmen in Norway during the war.
