circa 1883, with blued octagonal 5 1/2in. barrel, raised sighting rib signed together with the top-strap 'CONSTRUCTED FOR MESSRS. GYE & MONCREIFF, LONDON' and also marked with a crest of a fox on a wreath and the initials 'E.B', blued frame with twin Pryse-action bars, plain stepped cylinder, double action trigger mechanism (at fault) and chequered one-piece walnut grip with domed iron butt-cap, strong amount of original blued finish remaining and in a World War One period full flap leather service holster with brass cleaning rod
