type II (or model 3) variation for between 1888-1911, with re-plated 3in. barrels, raised rib with integral fore-sight, the rib signed 'REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION N.Y., re-plated receiver with plated barrel lock and spur trigger, central hammer and chequered hard-rubber semi birdshead grips, virtually all the renewed finish remaining, 5 1/4in. overall, complete with a later walnut case compartmented in the continental style for this pistol and with provision for storing seven rounds of ammunition
