circa 1800, with slightly tapered round iron 9in. barrel signed 'D. EGG, LONDON' on the top near breech (rubbed), moulded band, private proofs, plain solid top-tang, borderline engraved radiused lock with pointed tail signed 'D. EGG'. swan-necked cock, plain pan and frizzen, walnut full-stock with smooth butt swelling at the pommel and fitted with a moulded brass butt-cap with short side-spurs, brass furniture, the trigger guard engraved 'O.Y.' over 'D' (Oxfordshire Yeomanry Dragoons?), all surmounting the numeral '4' and brass-tipped under-barrel wood ramrod
