French or Belgian circa 1810, with swamped octagonal 6 1/4in. barrel, the exposed flats engraved and inlet with gilt borders, scrolls and lightning bolt motifs (rubbed), small crescent fore-sight, shallow sighting notch to front of top-tang, plain radiused lock with carved and moulded tip to tail, plain swan-necked cock (old working repair) and plain frizzen, walnut full-stock with chequered full pistol-grip swelling at base and fitted with a moulded iron butt-cap, inlet wire scrolls and foliage around the top-tang, along the backstrap and over the left cheek, plain iron furniture and turned ramrod pipe with horn-tipped ramrod
