A LATE VICTORIAN FOLDING BOWIE-KNIFE,
dated for 1895, with 9in. blade (surface rust and staining, extreme tip lost), makers signature at forte, folding nickel-silver cross-guard, chequered horn scales held by white metal pins, a central oval escutcheon acting as release button, the backstrap engraved 'J. MACGREGOR 1895', complete with its original black leather scabbard embossed with tramlines and with belt-frog (belt loop undone)
