A 180-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-BARRELLED KNIFE-PISTOL, UNSIGNED, MODEL 'DEVISME'S PATENT', no visible serial number,
Belgian or French circa 1850, with straight tapering double-edged 8 1/4in. blade, both sides with central full-length fullers, the 'cross-guard' mounted with plain tapering 3 3/8in. barrels mounted along the fullers, one side of the cross-guard forming the hammers, the opposite fixed, concealed single trigger firing the barrels in sequence, relief acanthus leaf carved wood pistol-grip butt, the pommel carved as dogs heads, full length iron grip-straps and complete with its moulded leather scabbard with brass chape and later applied leather belt-loop to the reverse of the pierced throat frill, old brass collection tag attached to one side of cross-guard
