circa 1860, with re-blued octagonal 5in. barrel signed by the makers and marked with patents and re-issues to 1859 (faint, illegible in places), plain five-shot stepped cylinder, open iron frame, guarded double-action trigger and brass grip-straps with smooth walnut grips, traces of finish only
