the mounts hallmarked for 1780, with 2 1/2in. turn-off banded iron cannon barrel, private proofs at breech, border and scroll engraved squared boxlock central hammer action signed in a banner on the left 'ARCHER' and 'LONDON' on the right, walnut bag-shaped but with hallmarked grotesque silver cap and inlet wire scrolls and iron trigger-guard bow safety
