circa 1815, with Birmingham proved tapering iron 9in. barrel signed 'LONDON' near the breech and with moulded band, solid humped top-tang, borderline engraved lock signed 'TOWER' at the tail and marked with a crown below the pan above the letters 'S.W.', walnut full-stock with tear-drops and a carved apron around the top-tang, brass furniture and iron ramrod
Other Notes: The 'S.W.' below the crown mark on the lock is possibly for the maker or assembler Smith & Walker
