A .451 MODEL MUZZLE-LOADING WHITWORTH PATENT FIELD GUN,
circa 1912, 12 1/2in. two-stage blacked barrel with Whitworth patent six groove hexagonal rifling, the breech section with Whitworth 'Wheatsheaf' trademark and 'JOSEPH WHITWORTH & CO. MANCHESTER', pierced vent, fixed front sight mounted to the right of the reinforce, adjustable rear-sight to the right side of the breech, on iron field carriage with iron-bound spoked wooden wheels, screw elevation using a crank-handle mounted to the right of the train, two magazines (one locking-catch missing) with hinged lids mounted either side of the barrel on the axle, each magazine containing three paper-wrapped hexagonal bore bullets
