continental circa 1690, with 31 1/2in. swamped octagonal rifled barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with two additional folding leaves, auxiliary peep-sight to top of comb, plain borderline engraved lock with internal wheel, carved hammer-spring (possible restoration to hammer), walnut stock cut down to half, the angular butt with mother of pearl and horn inlays, broad iron trigger guard bow with finger-grooves, hogs bristle set trigger and replacement ramrod
