A JAPANESE KATANA WITH SIGNED BLADE,
probably early 18th century, with 25in. curved and re-polished blade (some inclusions), brass folded 'habaki', moulded circular iron 'tsuba' pierced with a stylised flower and sycamore seed, single 'hitsu-ana', short signed tang pierced with single 'mekugi-ana', cotton wrapped rayskin hilt with floral 'menuki' mounted with later fuchi and kashira and together with a plain black lacquered scabbard.
