30in. nitro barrels, rib engraved 'W.R. PAPE. NEWCASTLE-UPON-TYNE. WINNER OF THE LONDON GUN TRIALS IN 1858. 1859. 1866 & 1875', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 3/4 choke, some external pitting, treble-grip action with carved leaf fences, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, beaded border and bold acanthus scroll engraving, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening, 15 3/8in. figured stock, weight 6lb. 10lb
