circa 1835, with tapering iron turn-off 1 1/8in. barrels, engraved band at muzzles, rounded scroll engraved central-hammer boxlock actions with concealed folding triggers, the top-tangs signed 'RICHARDSON, EDINBURGH', finely chequered walnut bag-shaped butts, white metal oval escutcheons to the wrists and white-metal lion mask pommel-caps
