circa 1860, with re-browned octagonal 10in. rifled barrel signed on the top-flat 'F, KNEIPP HOFBUCHSEN WEISBADEN', small dove-tailed blade fore-sight and adjustable rear-sight notch via a worm thread, borderline engraved top-tang and hump-backed dipped tail lock, carved hammer, fluted walnut grip to the half-stock with florally carved accents, iron spire butt-cap and spurred trigger-guard bow, no provision for ramrod
