A 10-BORE FLINTLOCK FOWLING-PIECE, no visible serial number,
circa 1800, with two-stage 36in. twist-iron barrel banded at the intersection, bead fore-sight, engraved top-tang bevel edged roller frizzen lock with engraved borders and signed 'H.W. MORTIMER' below the rainproof pan, radiused stepped tail, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist (cracked through and repaired behind lock and through rear side-nail), iron furniture, horn fore-end tip and brass mounted ramrod
