from the reign of Edward VII, with straight double edged 32 3/4in. blade etched with floral scrolls within arabesque panels, the 'HLI' monogram, the light infantry bugle, the crest of 'ERVII' and Scottish patriotic thistles, twin narrow central blind fullers, the forte etched with 'LECKIE, GRAHAM & CO RENFEILD ST GLASGOW', the reverse with an inlet proofmark within an etched 'Star of David', straight cross-guard with narrow langets and ball quillions, wire-bound fishskin grip-piece and reverse tapering pommel with carved Scottish cross to the top, complete with its plated scabbard with ball tip
