A DUTCH 1882 PATTERN NAVAL SWORD,
with etched and plated 33in. quill-tipped pipe-backed blade marked 'YZERHOUWER' (small moth nips to plating), brass half-basket guard pierced with scrolls and featuring a fouled anchor surmounted by a crown, wire-bound ribbed ivory grip-piece, brass back-strap, the pommel carved in the form of a lions head together with its brass mounted black leather scabbard (slight traces of silver plating throughout)
