circa 1929, 30in. nitro reproved barrels (in 1986) with broad file-cut matt rib, tubes engraved 'CHARLES BOSWELL. 15. MILL ST. HANOVER ST. LONDON. W.', 3in. chambers, bored approx. full choke in both, large treble-grip action with side-clips, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, border and partial scroll engraving, the underside with the vignette of fowl in flight over a wetland vista, retaining traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 15in. semi-pistolgrip stock with chequered recessed side panels, including 7/8in. rubber recoil pad, weight 8lb. 1oz., in its makers brass-cornered leather case
