for 1933, 27in. nitro barrels, the rib engraved 'C. S. ROSSON & CO. LTD. NORWICH', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke, wall thicknesses at 19 and some pitting, treble-grip action with hidden third bite, push-forward slide opening thumbpiece, P.J. Rosson patent 360608 of 11th October 1930, with gold-inlaid 'CLOSED' detail, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, the top of the standing breech engraved 'POSSONS PATENT SLIDE OPENING' (initial 'R' rubbed to read 'P'), acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, the underside with C.S. ROSSON & CO. NORWICH', brushed bright and reblued finish, 14 3/8in. stock including 1in. rubber recoil pad, weight 6lb. 2oz.
